Why Slow Feeders Prevent Bloat

Dogs that eat too quickly swallow excess air, which can lead to gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV/bloat) — a life-threatening emergency in which the stomach fills with gas and twists on itself. GDV is especially dangerous in large, deep-chested breeds but can occur in any dog that gulps food. Slow feeder bowls reduce eating speed by up to 10x, cutting air ingestion, improving digestion, reducing gas and discomfort, and turning every feeding into an enriching cognitive exercise.

The Great Outdoors eBowl features a landscape-inspired maze pattern with mountain peaks and sun motifs that reference the natural world your active dog loves to explore. The 2" deep ridges hold food securely while your dog works through each section, extending meal duration and maximizing the enrichment benefit. Available in outdoor-inspired orange and green, this bowl is a natural fit for adventure-loving pet households.
